The rating for each car is a combined score of its Max Speed, Acceleration, Braking, Cornering, and Stability scores. The designation, which stands for "Vision Gran Turismo," does not necessarily indicate that it's better or worse than others, though VGT cars typically out-power most non-racing cars.Ī vehicle's grade represents its general power compared to other vehicles, with "N" designations being generally street-legal vehicles, and "Gr" designations being specifically racing-tuned vehicles.

They are different models however, and would require two purchases if you wish to own both. For example, Honda has the NSX ( Gr.4) and NSX ( Gr.3). Some models may have identical names but are differentiated by grade.
